WEEK 12: COMBINE THE PROJECT In this week, we have to combine the project which is NodeMCU ESP8266, the main component as a connector to accomplish the opening and closing of the gate. All the hardware for this project were combined according to the circuit schematic below. In addition, I use the IoT technology which is Blynk Apps to run this system. Blynk is a mobile program application that helps to create an interface for controlling thus monitoring a project. The auth token will be send via e-mail and Blynk apps once the project has been developed. The token must to key in the coding part to connect the NodeMCU to the Blynk server. Once the code is uploaded, it automatically will connected to the server and it will pair with the smartphone. Circuit Diagram of Automatic Gate System Blynk Application After the process of combination is done, I made a block diagram and the flowchart for my slide presentation and thesis report to be prepared for our exhibition day. This is my flowchart...

WEEK 10 MAKING A CONNECTION In this week, I make a connection and put a program code into NodeMCU ESP8266 to command the servo motor, buzzer and LED indicator using Arduino software (Arduino IDE). There are many trials that I made for installing a code into NodeMCU ESP8266 because it is my first time using it. NodeMCU is a microcontroller board that comes with Wi-Fi Module that is ideal for the IOT (Internet of Things) project. The servo motor can be used directly with NodeMCU’s servo motor libraries in Arduino IDE. The piezo buzzer, which require pulses with certain frequency to produce sound/voice. Then, i use super bright 3 mm LEDs. They are suitable for low power, high-intensity reliable light, or indication. Next, a 3.3V and 5V Breadboard Power Supply Module with series diode, polarity reversal protection. The module can take 6.5V to 12V input and can produce 3.3V and +5V. After that, I write a coding and install into NodeMCU ESP8266. Other than that, my project is connected to th...

WEEK 8: In this week, I and my partner (Alif Sollehin) decided to divide this project into two part where I take for the automation software part and he take the electric fences hardware part. This is because this project is combined from two system. First is the electric fences by using solar power and the other is the automatic gate system. After decide this, I make a list for my component such as: NodeMCU ESP8266 (Wi-Fi Module) Servo Motor Buzzer LED indicator 3.3V and 5V Breadboard Power Supply Module For Power Supply Module is the input component that will supply voltage to the main component which is the NodeMCU ESP8266 that will control the system. It combines by providing automatic gate for the electric fences project to avoid intruders from causing damages to the crops.

Title: Selecting Project After registering my final year project subject, I have a project in mind which I want to propose and I have done a little bit research and study about it. The project is : THE DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRIC FENCES BY USING SOLAR POWER To generate the electricity using photo voltaic power due to depletion of the fossil fuel reserves. To apply the renewable power to generate electricity and the impact is clean to plants, animals and human. To keep the electrical billing cost through using photo voltaic hybrid system. To ease the people in rural areas who do not uncovered to the electricity supply. To equal the growing energy demand by using renewable energy source as solar. Design and develop a low cost auto gate system. To prevent the wild animals from entering and cause damage to the crops.

WEEK 1: SELECTING PROJECT'S PARTNER This week, I started to choose my Final Year Project partner which is Alif Sollehin Absah. I chose him because he is my friend. We are in the same course and class, so that is making easier for us to accomplish our project. SELECTING SUPERVISOR I decided to follow my friend, Alif Sollehin to search for lecturers that are still available to be the supervisor for my Final Year Project. I chose to have the same lecturers with my friend because it is safer if anything happens, he can remind me on certain stuff and so do I. It is basically like working together with same project but different proposal report and logbook. So we went to meet one of our previous lecturer which is Sir Abdul Halim bin Abdul Rahman. He is one of my previous lecturer in electrical section and he once thought me before in Engineering Workhop subject in Semester 1. ...
