 WEEK 7:

SECOND ONLINE FYP BRIEFING

Date : 2 September 2020 (Wednesday)
Time : 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM
Platform : via Microsoft Teams

OBJECTIVE: To briefing of FYP handbook, Project Development, Progress Report, Final Report, Attendance and Assessment forms.

ACTIVITY: 
- This meeting was held by Madam Julie Roslita binti Rusli.
- Student need to update the logbook / blog regularly.
- Student must meet supervisor for consultation.
-Attendance that below than 80% will be bared.
- Final Year Project assessment.

1) TYPES OF ASSESSMENTS
    i) Results & Discussion.
    ii) Conclusion (Chapter 5)
    iii) Abstract in Thesis Writing.
    iv) Exhibition Day (Tips & Tricks)
    v) Final Report & Technical Paper.

2) MARKS WEIGHTAGE
    i) Presentation - 40%
    ii) Log Book - 20%
    iii) Report - 40%

3) INDUSTRY DAY (presentation)
    - Presentation and demonstration of Final Year Project will be on week 13, Wednesday (21 October 2020).
    - Student have to prepare FYP slide presentation, results of project and prototype.

CONCLUSION: As conclusion, the briefing was done by Madam Julie Roslita binti Rusli. The objective was successfully achieved.

WEEK 13 PREPARATION FOR THE FYP PRESENTATION DAY In this week, we do many things for the project which is troubleshoot, construction the model and prepare the slides for presentation and demonstration. Equipment and tools that we used to complete this model: 1) Plywood 2) Hot glue 3) Wooden pole 4) Aluminium wire 5) Screw 6) 30W solar panel 7) Bulb 8) Switch and socket 9)  Testpen 12) Driller 13) Car Battery 14) Solar inverter 15) Solar charge controller The slide presentation needs to have : - Project title  - University's Logo - Student's and supervisor's details - Block diagram - Flowchart - Objectives - Problem statement - Methodology - Results - Conclusion - References Before the FYP exhibition day, we discuss with our supervisor, Sir Abdul Halim bin Abd Rahman to test and demo our project to get his opinion for the exhibition day. WEEK 10 MAKING A CONNECTION In this week, I make a connection and put a program code into NodeMCU ESP8266 to command the servo motor, buzzer and LED indicator using Arduino software (Arduino IDE). There are many trials that I made for installing a code into NodeMCU ESP8266 because it is my first time using it. NodeMCU is a microcontroller board that comes with Wi-Fi Module that is ideal for the IOT (Internet of Things) project. The servo motor can be used directly with NodeMCU’s servo motor libraries in Arduino IDE. The piezo buzzer, which require pulses with certain frequency to produce sound/voice. Then, i use super bright 3 mm LEDs. They are suitable for low power, high-intensity reliable light, or indication. Next, a 3.3V and 5V Breadboard Power Supply Module with series diode, polarity reversal protection. The module can take 6.5V to 12V input and can produce 3.3V and +5V.
