 WEEK 1:

SELECTING PROJECT'S PARTNER




This week, I started to choose my Final Year Project partner which is Alif Sollehin Absah. I chose him because he is my friend. We are in the same course and class, so that is making easier for us to accomplish our project.


SELECTING SUPERVISOR

I decided to follow my friend, Alif Sollehin to search for lecturers that are still available to be the supervisor for my Final Year Project. I chose to have the same lecturers with my friend because it is safer if anything happens, he can remind me on certain stuff and so do I. It is basically like working together with same project but different proposal report and logbook. 

So we went to meet one of our previous lecturer which is Sir Abdul Halim bin Abdul Rahman. He is one of my previous lecturer in electrical section and he once thought me before in Engineering Workhop subject in Semester 1.

 WEEK 4: BUYING COMPONENTS ACTIVITY: This week I have listed the components and hardware that need to be purchased and went to some shop near my campus. OBJECTIVES: - To listed and purchased the components and hardware of the project. - To calculate and estimate the budget. CONCLUSION: After finished the research and study about the components and hardware needed to complete my project last week, this week I have successfully got all of them. So, next week is the making of the project.

WEEK 13 PREPARATION FOR THE FYP PRESENTATION DAY In this week, we do many things for the project which is troubleshoot, construction the model and prepare the slides for presentation and demonstration. Equipment and tools that we used to complete this model: 1) Plywood 2) Hot glue 3) Wooden pole 4) Aluminium wire 5) Screw 6) 30W solar panel 7) Bulb 8) Switch and socket 9)  Testpen 12) Driller 13) Car Battery 14) Solar inverter 15) Solar charge controller The slide presentation needs to have : - Project title  - University's Logo - Student's and supervisor's details - Block diagram - Flowchart - Objectives - Problem statement - Methodology - Results - Conclusion - References Before the FYP exhibition day, we discuss with our supervisor, Sir Abdul Halim bin Abd Rahman to test and demo our project to get his opinion for the exhibition day. WEEK 10 MAKING A CONNECTION In this week, I make a connection and put a program code into NodeMCU ESP8266 to command the servo motor, buzzer and LED indicator using Arduino software (Arduino IDE). There are many trials that I made for installing a code into NodeMCU ESP8266 because it is my first time using it. NodeMCU is a microcontroller board that comes with Wi-Fi Module that is ideal for the IOT (Internet of Things) project. The servo motor can be used directly with NodeMCU’s servo motor libraries in Arduino IDE. The piezo buzzer, which require pulses with certain frequency to produce sound/voice. Then, i use super bright 3 mm LEDs. They are suitable for low power, high-intensity reliable light, or indication. Next, a 3.3V and 5V Breadboard Power Supply Module with series diode, polarity reversal protection. The module can take 6.5V to 12V input and can produce 3.3V and +5V.
