WEEK 10 MAKING A CONNECTION In this week, I make a connection and put a program code into NodeMCU ESP8266 to command the servo motor, buzzer and LED indicator using Arduino software (Arduino IDE). There are many trials that I made for installing a code into NodeMCU ESP8266 because it is my first time using it. NodeMCU is a microcontroller board that comes with Wi-Fi Module that is ideal for the IOT (Internet of Things) project. The servo motor can be used directly with NodeMCU’s servo motor libraries in Arduino IDE. The piezo buzzer, which require pulses with certain frequency to produce sound/voice. Then, i use super bright 3 mm LEDs. They are suitable for low power, high-intensity reliable light, or indication. Next, a 3.3V and 5V Breadboard Power Supply Module with series diode, polarity reversal protection. The module can take 6.5V to 12V input and can produce 3.3V and +5V. After that, I write a coding and install into NodeMCU ESP8266. Other than that, my project is connected to th...

WEEK 9

WEEK 9 THIRD FINAL YEAR PROJECT WORKSHOP This week is about the Arduino Training Workshop of the Final Year Project. Date: 23th September 2020 (Wednesday) Venue: Level 2 Lab Time: 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM In the workshop, the FYP committees have explained us about : To provide knowledge of different Smart System applications. To familiarize students with Arduino as IDE, programming language & platform. To provide knowledge of Arduino boards and basic components. Develop skills to design and implement various smart system application. In conclusion, the contents for this week were clearly understood by students. This can help student to be well prepared in doing a complete the thesis.

WEEK 8: In this week, I and my partner (Alif Sollehin) decided to divide this project into two part where I take for the automation software part and he take the electric fences hardware part. This is because this project is combined from two system. First is the electric fences by using solar power and the other is the automatic gate system. After decide this, I make a list for my component such as: NodeMCU ESP8266 (Wi-Fi Module) Servo Motor Buzzer LED indicator 3.3V and 5V Breadboard Power Supply Module For Power Supply Module is the input component that will supply voltage to the main component which is the NodeMCU ESP8266 that will control the system. It combines by providing automatic gate for the electric fences project to avoid intruders from causing damages to the crops.
